Trump’s administration has been making the headlines for the wrong reasons in recent times. This has been a move to ensure that the policies regarding immigration in the country are stricter than ever before.

However, the question still remains what are the impacts of this move on the development of the United States as a country? The major aim of this post will be to highlight and briefly explain some of the adverse effects that the closure of DACA will have on the country.

The Future

Looking ahead, there are quite a few changes necessary. One of the biggest is the H-2A visa program. There are requirements and there is a lot of hassle involved, and it is not reliable or timely. 2,5 millones de inmigrantes ilegales han entrado al territorio estadounidense desde que Barak Obama asumió el gobierno. De ellos, 790.000 lo han hecho en los últimos dos años y medio.
Estas cifras, provenientes del Análisis de Inmigración Ilegal y Censo, demuestra cuán lejos se está aún de controlar la afluencia de inmigrantes en condición de ilegales al país, aunque se haya reducido su aceleramiento, ya que entre los años 2000 y 2006 entraban al país alrededor de 500.000 o 600.00 inmigrantes ilegales por año.

Aún cuando cometen delitos y el ICE u alguna otra agencia quiere deportarlos por considerarlos “particularmente peligrosos” se les impide hacerlo. Esto sucede por existen algunas “ciudades santuario” que poseen políticas a través de las cuales se niegan a detener inmigrantes que ICE pide para deportación. Pero también lo son sus chances de dormir tranquilo, recibir una paga adecuada por el trabajo que hace, contar con un número de seguro social o poder salir e ingresar al país libremente.
